Nova Football Club’s enthusiastic youngsters are taking part in a Fun Run tomorrow in aid of Sports Relief.
Around 80 of the club’s sportsmen and their parents are expected to take part in the event prior to their usual Saturday morning training sessions at Shuker Field.
Organiser Sandy Mackenzie said it promises to be a fun morning, adding: “We did a similar event two years ago for Sports Relief and it was a good occasion. It is part of the club’s philosophy to held good causes and we are pleased to support Sport Relief.”
The run starts at 9am and is open to all.
The entry fee is a minimum of £1 with all other donations gratefully received.
All money raised will go towards this year’s Sports Relief appeal, which helps transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Nova are hoping to raise around £100.
