Run by Newport man Andy Lindsay, ChoiceBusters offer DVD and computer games for rental or purchase at bargain prices.

Mr Lindsay said: “Things have been going really well. We’ve had some great positive feedback from customers.

“We didn’t know what to expect but the people of Newport have really endorsed the store.

“We’re in a very good spot here. Quite a lot of people have come in after just passing by and have joined straight away.

“It’s tricky to say what will happen over Christmas with the economic situation as it is.

“But if it all goes well we may well be looking to bring in a couple of extra staff.”

ChoiceBusters is open from 10am-10pm Monday to Saturday and 12noon-8pm on Sunday.

Found next to to Celebrations on High Street, the store’s current promotion offers two top movies to rent for £5 for two nights.

Though Bargain Booze on St Mary Street does offer DVD rental, ChoiceBusters is Newport’s only specialised entertainment shop following the demise of Woolworths and Choices.
