The sun shone and the townsfolk held their breath yesterday as the In Bloom judges cast an eye over the town.
Preparations have been in full swing for what could potentially be the town’s sixth successive gold award.
And St Nicholas’ Church was opened up once again with a free art and floral exhibition, to wow the judges. St Peter and Paul’s School, Cheeny Hill, Stafford Road, Station Road, Springfield Recycling centre and Newport Cottage Care, were also visited by the judges.
